Photographs, complemented by each subjects’ powerful testimonies, grace the museum walls as part of The Art of Compassion. While each image captures a commanding story about facing obstacles, surviving challenges, and seeking moments of grace, the underlying theme is that of overcoming trauma. This panel discussion will focus on how exposure to multiple or prolonged traumatic events impacted the lives of these women, and how they are working to seek peace, refuge, and recovery.
