While Rebecca Brown served a five-year prison sentence in Florida, she decided to start a business.
She owed this new perspective in large part to a non-profit – Ladies Empowerment & Action Program (LEAP) – that runs on the philosophy that everyone can have a successful, fulfilling life.
“I didn’t want to come out the same way I went in,” she told Nationswell. “This was a wake-up call.”
